What makes Great Times GREAT?

What makes GTDC great is the fact that we (Staff) allow the kids that attend camp have fun. Having Certified Teachers instead of high school or young college kids as staff members gives parents the security that their children are safe. That shows how family oriented GTDC is due to the fact that campers can become Adult staff members. So the question is what makes Great Times Day Camp Great? Well I say, because it says it in the Name!

AURI GRISI

Auri has been at camp as a camper and a counselor for over 20 years!

What is your favorite memory at Great Times?

My favorite camp memory as a camper would be running the 2000 Apache Relay in the pouring rain. And our team (Red) winning in a very close race. As a staff member it would be running the lower camp talent show. The weeks leading up practicing, making costumes, and props is very exciting!

What brings you back to Great Times each summer?

The reason why I come back every summer is simple, I genuinely enjoy the environment and the people I work with. I can honestly say that both of my kids are excited about coming back, they've made friends they look forward to seeing again and I know that sentiment is echoed throughout the camp. I also enjoy catching up with everyone and sharing the camp experience I never had as a child.
